We won't add anything to other DLLs. But you can chain these DLLs. I don't remember from my mind, but there is some special setting in the rfdynhud.ini file, that specifies the d3d9.dll to load. So if you set that to "d3d9_2.dll" and rename the rfdynhud d3d9.dll accordinly, you can drop the Nvidia d3d9.dll into the rf root folder and you should be fine.

ok, I checked it. You don't need an ini file entry. Just rename the "d3d9.dll" (the one coming with rfdynhud) to "d3d9_2.dll". If the d3d9.dll coming with the nvidia fix is in the rfactor root folder, it should work.

This is a binary file. It is not meant to be edited.

How about your C++ skills? Would it help you to get access to the sourcecode?

I think some thing so could be work
[GENERAL]
language = en
OriginalD3D9Dll=d3d9_fix.dll

OriginalD3D9Dll=DEFAULT

############################
# The 'exeFilename' setting is the filename only (no path).
#
# Example:
#
# exeFilename = rFactor.exe
############################

or so

[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=1
InitProxyFunctions=1
ProxyLibrary=d3d9_fix.dll

You don't need that. If you rename the d3d9.dll (the one coming with rfDynHUD) to d3d9_2.dll and the d3d9_fix.dll (the one coming with the nvidia fix) to d3d9.dll and put them both into the rFactor root folder, then you'll have exactly this chaining order. You don't need to change anything in the ini for that.

Yeah, you said that above. But you also suggested some ini settings for DLL chaining. So I was a bit confused.

Is there anything special, that you have to do to enable DLL chaining for this DLL? What did you want to do through a tool to edit the d3d9.dll?

I guess, you could just post a download link, can't you? And of course your descriptions.

No. But according to the hits on the site you might want to try renaming the (rfDynHUD-) d3d9.dll to d3d9_2.dll and try it this way round.
